BASINGSTOKE AREA SUSTAINABILITY

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council have declared a Climate Emergency. Interested chairmen, councillors and individuals from parishes and towns within the borough have been holding informal discussions on the implications of this on our residents and what can be done to mitigate the effects, eg by reducing emissions, taking precautions or responding to possible measures from government or market forces.

Here are reports of our meetings, documents submitted, references to other initiatives and the Terms of Reference for our group.

At our meeting on 13 April 2022 we agreed to rationalise our name as Basingstoke Area Sustainability. The titles of the notes from all our recent meetings have been updated to reflect the new name!

 Our next meeting is planned for Wednesday 8 June via Zoom.
