Other initiatives

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council have declared a Climate Emergency.

Here are a few references to other initiatives:

Sustainable Overton is a team of volunteers living in the beautiful Hampshire village of Overton, working together to combat climate change. Their goal is to become a carbon neutral community by 2030.

Sustainable Silchester is all about encouraging and supporting Silchester residents to take practical actions to live more sustainably and improve bio-diversity.   We are joining people and communities across the world in taking positive action and being part of the solution.  Together we can make a difference. 

Tadley Town Council have also set up an Environmental Group.

Bead Recycling have a scheme for recycling plastic that covers many types that are not currently collected roadside by BDBC.
